Insta-LINK® Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the collection, use and disclosure of your personal and customer information that may be collected by LaMotte Company and its suppliers (collectively the “Company”) as you and your customers use the Insta-LINK® smartphone app and/or the Website (collectively, the “Application”). Please take a moment to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information is gathered, how the information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information. Your privacy is a priority at LaMotte Company, and we go to great lengths to protect it.

Information We Collect

In order to facilitate your use and the use by your customers of the Application, we may collect the following types of information from you and your customers (collectively, “Your Data”):

Personal Information: The term “Personal Information” means any information that you provide that may be used to identify you, including, but not limited to, first and last names, email addresses (sender and recipient), physical addresses, or other personal information voluntarily provided by you in connection with your use of the Application. Personal Information also includes log-in and registration information (e.g., user name and password) for the Application. We may also collect Personal Information you choose to voluntarily provide to the Company when providing feedback or questions.

Customer Information: The term “Customer Information” means any information your customers provide or you provide about your customers that may be used to identify your customers, including but not limited to, their names, email addresses, physical addresses, information about their pool or spa, user name and passwords, or other personal information voluntarily provided by you or your customers in connection with the use of the Application by you or your customers. Customers are defined here as people who purchase from or are supplied by you the Application.

Application Data: The term “Application Date” means data resulting from measurements made using the Application.

Technical Data: The term “Technical Data” refers to technical information and related data about your usage or the usage by your customers of the Application, such as the frequency of use or the pages visited within the Application.

Individual Content: The term “Individual Content” means data created by Application features that allow you or your customers to, among other things, submit, store, manipulate and distribute content selected or produced by you or your customers.

 

How We Use Information Collected

The Company only collects uses and processes Your Data for the purposes of facilitating your use of the Application and the purposes outlined in this policy. This may include the following: to perform the tasks you request the Application to perform, to personalize your experience, to keep you up to date on the latest announcements regarding the Application or upgrades or updates, and to better understand your needs and provide you with better services. We may also use Your Data to respond to your inquiries regarding the performance of the Application or any feedback you may provide. You may “opt out” of receiving any further communications from us.

The Company may collect, use and share your Application Data and Technical Data, including but not limited to, information about products you use in connection with your pool or spa, that is gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of Application updates, product supports and other services to you (if any) related to the Application. The Company may use this information and share it with third parties, including current or prospective partners or advertisers, or a third party retained by the Company solely to provide us with reports and analytics of the usage of the Application, as long as it is in a form that does not disclose Personal Information or Customer Information.

The Company will not disclose any of your Personal Information or Customer Information to a third party unless:
• We have your express written consent;
• We need to investigate or take legal action due to a violation of this Policy or the Terms; or
• We are required to do so by law, or if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a court order or subpoena, to cooperate with investigations by law enforcement or regulatory authorities or to participate or cooperate with a judicial proceeding, or in urgent circumstances, to protect personal safety, the public, the Company or our Application.

We do NOT use, transfer or share Your Data in any manner which is not explained above.

Data Security

We are committed to protecting Your Data to the extent it is in our possession and do so with certain physical and technological procedures. However, we cannot ensure the security of Your Data after its transmission or the security of Your Data on your iPhone device, or on another computer. We urge you to take every precaution to protect Your Data.

Google Ads

Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads.
Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to visitors based on their visit to sites they visit on the Internet.
Website visitors may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
